The Sales General Manager will oversee the sales team and work closely with senior management to develop and implement effective sales strategies. This role is pivotal in driving revenue targets, developing client relationships, and fostering a high-performance culture within the team.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in a related field.
  • Experience in a business-to-business sales organization with 5+ years sales leadership experience; Chemical sales experience is an asset.
  • Experience with customer and territory management.
  • Experience and knowledge of using PC and Windows; MS Office Suite; Salesforce.com.
  • Knowledge of pricing and marketing strategy.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Effective and engaging communication skills.
  • Ability to relate to, and communicate with individuals at all levels.
  • Recognize and monitor market conditions, trends, and competitor activities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and expand our customer base.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team. Provide ongoing support, performance feedback, and coaching.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential areas for growth.
  • Develop and manage the sales budget, and work to meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Analyze sales metrics, prepare reports, and provide insights to senior management to guide decision-making.
