About The Position

Purpose Brands 414 (PB414) is an umbrella organization for redemptive, marketplace-driven initiatives including Beautiful Lives Thrift Boutique, Bold Lives Men’s Thrift, and Thrift Out. PB414 aims to amplify collective impact, purpose, and provision by cultivating a redemptive ecosystem where spiritual formation and business innovation come together to restore what’s broken and steward communities well. Thrift Out specifically extends the stewardship cycle of garments while offering a deeply discounted shopping experience. The Thrift Out Floor Team is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing transactions, putting out products, and supporting the overall operations of the store. This role is vital in furthering the mission of the non-profit organization by ensuring a welcoming and organized shopping experience for customers and donors, offering an opportunity to make a positive impact in the community while gaining valuable retail experience in a mission-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) systems preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.
  • Volunteer experience in non-profit organizations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Support sales strategies to maximize revenue and contribute to the PB414 mission.
  • Work collaboratively with the team and volunteers.
  • Help manage inventory, including receiving donations, stocking, and merchandising.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all points of contact - assist customers with purchases, provide product information, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Organize and stock merchandise, ensuring displays are visually appealing and aligned with store standards.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety and operational policies, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for customers and volunteers.
  • Ensure adherence to PB414 regulations, financial accountability, and ethical business practices.
  • Support marketing and community outreach efforts to attract customers and donors by helping prepare for popup events and occasionally work at events.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
