About The Position
The part-time Bookstore Salesfloor Associate provides exceptional customer service while supporting the daily retail operations of the Colorado State University Bookstore. This position assists customers with product selection, course materials, and store services, while maintaining an organized, well-stocked, and visually appealing sales floor. This role contributes to a positive shopping experiences by merchandising products, supporting promotional initiatives, and collaborating with management and student staff to meet operational and customer service goals. As part of a university-owned bookstore, this position helps advance the mission of serving the CSU community and supporting student programs and services through retail operations.
Requirements
- 3 years of retail merchandising
- Pre-employment Criminal Background Check
Responsibilities
- Provides High Level of Customer Service
- Creates a friendly atmosphere at all times for customers and staff
- Actively greets customers entering the store
- Directs and assists customers to products and services
- Explains products and services to customers
- Makes recommendations and possible alternative products to customers
- Merchandise sales floor, stock product, creates displays, ensures full inventory of product on sales floor.
- Actively works with store management, supervisors, and student staff to meet customer needs
