About The Position

HomeSense is looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Part-Time Sales Floor Associate to join our team! In this role, you’ll help create a great shopping experience by assisting customers, maintaining an organized sales floor, and ensuring merchandise is properly prepared and available for our customers.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Excellent customer service skills
Friendly, positive, and approachable personality
Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced retail environment
Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
Works effectively with peers and supervisors
Able to lift 50 lbs. or more, with or without reasonable accommodation
Comfortable assisting customers with furniture and larger merchandise
Comfortable moving and flowing merchandise to the sales floor
Dependable and punctual
Open availability Monday through Sunday is required
Applicants should be comfortable with flexible scheduling, including weekends, holidays, early mornings, and later evening hours during the holiday season.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly and engaging customer service throughout the store
Assist customers in locating merchandise and answering questions about products
Help customers safely select and move larger merchandise, including furniture
Flow merchandise from the backroom to the sales floor as needed
Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards
Maintain merchandising standards and keep merchandise organized and properly displayed
Perform store recovery throughout the day to maintain a clean and organized sales floor
Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the entire store
Support store shrink-reduction goals and programs
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Work cooperatively with fellow Associates and Management
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback
Maintain a safe environment for customers and Associates
Perform other duties as assigned
