About The Position

This part-time position involves bringing processed clothing to the sales floor, keeping it organized and presentable, and assisting customers. Excellent customer service skills are essential. The retail centers are open Mondays through Saturdays from 9 AM to 9 PM, and Sundays from 9 AM to 8 PM. This role is eligible for Daily Pay, allowing employees to access their earned wages on their schedule. Part-time employees in the Retail and Sales/Operations Division are eligible for paid holidays, sick leave, jury duty, and bereavement leave. All employees aged 18 and over can contribute to a retirement plan (pre-tax or Roth). Goodwill of Colorado is also a Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) eligible employer.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • One (1) year of retail experience is preferred.
  • Prior visual merchandising experience is preferred.
  • Attention to detail and ability to make decisions.
  • Ability to use basic technologies to follow company standards.
  • Ability to use judgment to assess quality and value of product and pricing, researching value as necessary.
  • Ability to see color and use judgment to assess quality and value of product and pricing, researching value as necessary.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule which may include weekends, evenings and holidays as needed with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the sales floor area is well stocked with product in an organized and presentable fashion.
  • Interacts with customers, providing assistance and answering product questions.
  • Maintains a clean and organized sales floor by regularly cleaning and organizing shelves and racks, picking items up off the floor, putting away product(s) from racks, carts, or baskets, and putting away returned or unwanted items.
  • Ensures sales floor areas are properly merchandised to standard (categorized, colorized, sized).
  • Makes decisions to flex product to improve customer shopping experience and increase sales.
  • Assists production by communicating targeted needs for the floor to the manager on duty.
  • Adheres to the 10-foot rule for customer interaction (smile, greet, make eye contact).
  • Rotates or pulls old or unsold product(s) in a timely manner from the sales floor to ensure product selection is refreshed.
  • Responsible for E-Commerce product identification and pulling from the sales floor.
  • Follows all retail center policies and procedures.
  • Follows all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe working environment.
  • Cross-trains in other departments or areas and acts as a back-up for other areas as required.
  • Meets or exceeds minimum productivity standards and expectations/Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for assigned duties.
  • Acts as an ambassador of pricing according to Goodwill standards of quality and value of product (good, better, best), which may include researching the item’s value on the internet or utilizing other company tools and standards.
