The Sales Floor Associate is responsible for the appearance and maintenance of the products on the sales floor, providing customer service, and information on products.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal communication skills.

- Basic computer skills including Microsoft suite
- Ability to walk, bend and stand for an extended period time.
- Ability to lift 25lbs.
Responsibilities
- Consults with the Sales Floor Manager to ensure optimal product display and pricing.
- Interacts with vendors, under the guidance of the Floor Sales Manager or Store Assistant Manager, to rotate inventory and displayed items to optimize sales and profitability.
- Ensures that all items for return are properly labeled and returned for store credit.
- Collaborates with Marketing Manager in regards to labeling and discounts for low volume/discontinued items.
- Communicates any shortages of product appropriately with Purchaser and Inventory Manager.
- Restock merchandise on showroom floor.
- Consults with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise.
- Demonstrates and explains merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needs.
- Answers customers questions about merchandise and assist with purchase decisions.
- Retrieves merchandise from sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations, places special orders.
- Answer phone calls directed to the paint room.
- Tint paint upon request and color match.
- Receive orders and reconcile with invoice.
- Fill delivery tickets.
- Complete inventory maintenance reports.
- Cross-train in other departments.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in the showroom.
