About The Position

This part-time position is responsible for bringing processed clothing to the sales floor, keeping the sales floor organized and presentable, and interacting with customers to provide assistance. The Associate I, Retail Sales Floor ensures the sales floor area is well stocked with product in an organized and presentable fashion. The Associate will be in contact with customers and expected to be responsive in communication and provide excellent customer service. The Associate is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the sales floor and restrooms.

Requirements

A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
One (1) year of retail experience is preferred.
Prior visual merchandising experience is preferred.
Must have attention to detail and ability to make decisions.
Ability to use basic technologies to be able to follow company standards.
Ability to use judgment to assess quality and value of product and pricing, researching value as necessary.
Ability to see color and use judgment to assess quality and value of product and pricing, researching value as necessary.
Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
Must be able to work a varied schedule which may include weekends, evenings and holidays as needed with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

Meets or exceeds minimum productivity standards and expectations/Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for assigned duties.
Acts as an ambassador of pricing according to Goodwill standards of quality and value of product (good, better, best), which may include researching the item’s value on the internet or utilizing other company tools and standards.
Maintains a clean and organized sales floor by regularly cleaning and organizing shelves and racks, picking items up off the floor, putting away product(s) from racks, carts, or baskets, as well as putting away returned or unwanted items.
Ensures sales floor areas are properly merchandised to standard (categorized, colorized, sized), responsible for making decisions to flex product to improve customer shopping experience, and increase sales.
Assists production by communicating targeted needs for the floor to the manager on duty.
Provides excellent customer service to fellow staff and customers by adhering to the 10-foot rule (i.e., anytime you find yourself within 10-feet of a customer, you should smile, greet, make eye contact etc.) and answers product questions as needed.
Rotates or pulls old or unsold product(s) in a timely manner from the sales floor to ensure product selection is refreshed as necessary.
Responsible for E-Commerce product identification and pulling from the sales floor.
Follows all retail center policies and procedures.
Follows all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe working environment for employees and customers.
Cross-trains in other departments or areas; acts as a back-up for other areas as required.
Job duties may extend beyond the tasks listed and may include additional responsibilities as required.
