About The Position

This full-time position involves bringing processed clothing to the sales floor and interacting with customers to provide assistance. The role requires excellent customer service skills. The Retail Centers are open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sundays. This position is eligible for Daily Pay, allowing employees to access their earned wages on their schedule. Full-Time employees in the Retail and Sales/Operations Division are eligible for paid holidays, sick leave, jury duty, and bereavement leave. All employees aged 18 and over can contribute to a retirement plan (pre-tax or Roth). Goodwill of Colorado is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) eligible employer.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • One (1) year of retail experience is preferred.
  • Prior visual merchandising experience is preferred.
  • Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the sales floor area is well stocked with product in an organized and presentable fashion.
  • Interacts with customers and is responsive in communication, providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintains overall cleanliness of the sales floor and restrooms.
  • Meets or exceeds minimum productivity standards and expectations/Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for assigned duties.
  • Acts as an ambassador of pricing according to Goodwill standards of quality and value of product (good, better, best), which may include researching the item’s value on the internet or utilizing other company tools and standards.
  • Maintains a clean and organized sales floor by regularly cleaning and organizing shelves and racks, picking items up off the floor, putting away product(s) from racks, carts, or baskets, as well as putting away returned or unwanted items.
  • Ensures sales floor areas are properly merchandised to standard (categorized, colorized, sized).
  • Makes decisions to flex product to improve customer shopping experience and increase sales.
  • Assists production by communicating targeted needs for the floor to the manager on duty.
  • Provides excellent customer service to fellow staff and customers by adhering to the 10-foot rule (i.e., anytime you find yourself within 10-feet of a customer, you should smile, greet, make eye contact etc.) and answers product questions as needed.
  • Rotates or pulls old or unsold product(s) in a timely manner from the sales floor to ensure product selection is refreshed as necessary.
  • Responsible for E-Commerce product identification and pulling from the sales floor.
  • Follows all retail center policies and procedures.
  • Follows all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe working environment for employees and customers.
  • Cross-trains in other departments or areas; acts as a back-up for other areas as required.
  • Job duties may extend beyond the tasks listed and may include additional responsibilities as required.
