Your job is not to convince people that it works, but to understand their building challenges and connect them to the right solution. You’ll work within a true team-based sales environment, partnering closely with engineering, operations, and service. While you own your account portfolio, you’re fully supported every step of the way.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or completion of an accredited trade/technical school program
  • 1+ year of experience with HVAC Controls, Building Automation, Commercial HVAC, Blueprint Drawings/Design layouts, or the Construction industry.
  • Valid Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
  • Proven sales or hands-on experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls, commercial construction, electrical, or plumbing trades.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, mechanical drawings, and system schematics.
  • Ability to convert complex technical features (e.g., BAS integration, air quality controls) into compelling financial and operational value propositions for clients.
  • Experience uncovering upsell opportunities for add-on solutions, including remote monitoring tools, software analytics platforms, and retrofits.
  • Proficiency using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to track leads, manage recurring contract renewals, and maintain accurate revenue forecasts.
  • Skill in navigating long sales cycles, managing pricing discussions, and negotiating dynamically in a competitive landscape with general contractors, engineering firms and executive level decision makers.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders, from C-suite executives to facility engineers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work alongside field technicians, project managers, and engineering teams to identify service leads and execute client handoffs.
  • Strong organizational skills to balance high-volume administrative contract tracking with proactive sales outreach and client visits.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture long-term strategic relationships with building owners, mechanical contractors, and consulting engineers.
  • Manage an assigned account portfolio, identifying high-potential prospects and navigating business development activities to support regional growth.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events to increase visibility and influence market perception.
  • Deep-dive into client needs to uncover building and system inefficiencies.
  • Work upstream to influence specifications and system design decisions, ensuring our solutions are integrated into the earliest stages of a project.
  • Identify bid opportunities, prepare comprehensive responses, and lead negotiations to secure new business.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, and Service teams to ensure technical feasibility and customer satisfaction.
  • Own the transition from "sale" to "execution," ensuring the operations team is set up for success and the customer experience remains consistent.
  • Drive the sales cycle forward through disciplined follow-up and proactive communication.
