About The Position

Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Sales Engineer for a full-time, on-site opportunity in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. This position combines technical manufacturing knowledge with customer-facing sales responsibilities and is focused on industrial finishing processes, equipment, and manufacturing solutions. Candidates should bring hands-on experience within industrial manufacturing, finishing operations, equipment sales, or a related environment. Relevant backgrounds may include finishing companies, job shops, manufacturing facilities with in-house finishing operations, or production and operations roles involving direct customer interaction.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing, finishing operations, equipment sales, or a related industry REQUIRED
  • Direct experience with one or more industrial finishing processes or equipment types REQUIRED
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment with exposure to finishing operations REQUIRED
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude REQUIRED
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills REQUIRED
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and related sales-technology tools REQUIRED
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory REQUIRED
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation REQUIRED
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident work authorization REQUIRED
  • Ability to work on-site in Quakertown, PA REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working for a finishing company, job shop, or manufacturing operation with finishing processes
  • Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Production Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, or similar role with customer-facing responsibilities
  • Knowledge of process improvement, production efficiency, and manufacturing workflows
  • Established relationships within the regional manufacturing community
  • Technical or engineering-related education, training, or certifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities within the assigned manufacturing territory.
  • Identify customer manufacturing challenges and recommend appropriate finishing equipment, solutions, and process improvements.
  • Conduct customer visits, facility walk-throughs, equipment demonstrations, and technical presentations.
  • Develop relationships with manufacturing engineers, plant managers, operations managers, production supervisors, and purchasing personnel.
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and technical recommendations.
  • Manage customer and sales activity through CRM and related technology tools.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support project implementation and customer satisfaction.
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and customer demonstrations as needed.
  • Stay current on finishing technologies, manufacturing trends, and competitive offerings.
