About The Position

Tracebit is seeking a Founding Sales Engineer to join their Customer Engineering team. This role is crucial for building the technical foundation to scale customer acquisition and deliver outcomes. The company has strong traction in the US, has achieved product-market fit, and is poised for explosive growth. The Sales Engineer will play a key part in accelerating this growth by building out the US presence. Tracebit's product uses canaries (decoy assets) to detect intrusions in critical environments, helping security teams achieve an 'assume breach' strategy at scale. The company is backed by prominent investors and has a growing ARR, with significant customer adoption.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of technical sales experience in a customer-facing role at a B2B SaaS company, ideally in cybersecurity or developer tooling.
  • Understanding of and experience in areas such as cloud infrastructure or DevOps.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both engineers and executives.
  • Ability to rapidly grasp new technical concepts and translate them into clear value propositions.
  • Comfortable diving into technical documentation and asking questions to fill knowledge gaps.
  • Understanding of the sales process and ability to identify when to lead technical discussions versus support account executives.
  • Ability to identify technical blockers and collaborate to overcome them.
  • Experience in the pace of an early-stage company, comfortable with ambiguity, building processes from scratch, and adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Must have the right to work in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience coding is not required, but understanding technical concepts is key.

Responsibilities

  • Run discovery calls and product demos, partnering with sales to understand prospect requirements and deliver tailored demonstrations.
  • Adjust demo approach based on the audience, whether a CISO or a security engineer.
  • Design and execute Proof-of-Values (PoVs) that demonstrate alignment within prospect environments.
  • Guide customers through PoV setup, monitor progress, and ensure successful outcomes and technical wins.
  • Build technical sales collateral, including demo scripts, technical one-pagers, architecture diagrams, and FAQ documents.
  • Provide technical guidance throughout the sales cycle, addressing questions about security, compliance, and integrations.
  • Act as a Tracebit Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Feed product insights back to the team, including customer feedback, feature requests, and competitive intelligence.
  • Represent Tracebit at key cybersecurity conferences, conducting technical demos and building relationships.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to be a founding member of the Customer Engineering team.
  • Flexibility in work location (NY office or fully remote in the US, within Eastern or Central timezones).
  • Quarterly in-office collaboration for remote employees.
  • Flexibility in working hours, with a target of 9am-6pm, acknowledging potential need for work outside these hours.
