About The Position

Spire is seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Sales Engineer to support our growing sales team. This role is critical in bridging the gap between client needs and technical execution, helping to accelerate the sales cycle while ensuring accuracy in project scoping and budgeting. The ideal candidate is both customer-facing and technically proficient, with the ability to quickly develop preliminary system designs, budgets, and documentation that support successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn systems and tools quickly
  • Excellent communication skills with a client-facing mindset
  • Experience in sales engineering, system design, AV integration, or a related field
  • Ability to translate client requirements into clear technical solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Background in AV, low-voltage systems, or systems integration
  • Experience developing BOMs, SOWs, and project budgets
  • Familiarity with estimation, design, or CAD tools

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales Team to drive new opportunities forward
  • Participate in client meetings to assess needs and provide technical insight
  • Develop initial Bill of Materials (BOM) and Scope of Work (SOW) for proposed solutions
  • Generate preliminary project budgets using internal tools
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams for project handoff and refinement
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and feasibility of proposed solutions
  • Support standardization of sales engineering processes and tools
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Spire’s products, services, and technical capabilities
