Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of processing and estimation sales experience in a related industry
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Solid financial acumen, including cost development and pricing strategies
  • Experience in metals manufacturing and part production
  • Strong mathematical, geometric, and technical aptitude
  • Proven ability to interpret drawings, including tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • High level of personal integrity, motivation, and interpersonal effectiveness

Nice To Haves

  • CNC programming and/or advanced estimating experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers, developing and maintaining strong relationships
  • Present technical solutions to prospective customers and secure new business opportunities
  • Identify and pursue additional sales opportunities within existing accounts
  • Communicate pricing updates, surcharges, and order changes to customers
  • Investigate and resolve customer claims and issues in a timely manner
  • Interpret and clarify customer-provided materials, including blueprints, CAD files, and specifications
  • Analyze tolerances, materials, and geometric dimensioning to guide manufacturing and supply chain decisions
  • Develop accurate cost estimates by analyzing time, materials, labor, and production requirements
  • Create and manage cost structures to support efficient and competitive quoting
  • Evaluate sales proposals to ensure accuracy and alignment with company quality and safety standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams including shipping, credit, purchasing, scheduling, and quality to ensure seamless order execution
  • Utilize internal production processes to meet customer quality and delivery expectations
  • Negotiate labor, production, and delivery options internally and with external vendors
  • Analyze customer drawings to develop processing times and optimize material utilization through nesting capabilities
  • Manage customer-specific inventory requirements
  • Identify and implement quality requirements such as PPAP, first article inspections, and recurring inspection plans
  • Ensure all processes and deliverables meet company quality and safety standards
  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively address challenges
  • Maintain consistent communication across internal departments to support customer satisfaction
  • Prepare and submit reports accurately and on time
