About The Position

Tensure builds internal developer platforms for FinServ and FinTech teams on AWS, GCP, and Azure. The work is real: Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, the developer experience layer that decides whether a hundred engineers ship in a day or wait a week. As a Sales Engineer, you will be the person in the room who can speak to all of it without hand-waving, and who knows when to say "I'd want one of our architects to confirm that" instead of guessing. We care about building a place where people have a life outside of work and actually like the people they work with. You will also help shape where we take our platform practice and our partnerships.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in platform engineering.
  • Experience closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
  • Deep knowledge of platform and DevOps concepts: containers and orchestration, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, observability, and the internal developer platform pattern.
  • Ability to understand the challenges faced by developers and map out solutions.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to demo and whiteboard technical concepts live.
  • Ability to be the expert and know when to defer to others.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in FinServ and FinTech industries.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure.

Responsibilities

  • Help close complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
  • Demo and whiteboard platform and DevOps concepts live, including containers and orchestration, Terraform or similar, pipelines, and observability.
  • Act as the expert while also knowing when to defer to others.
  • Ensure follow-up is timely and diagrams are clear.
  • Translate value propositions for both engineers and CFOs.
  • Shape the direction of the platform practice and partnerships.
