About The Position

This existing vacancy is open to candidates that reside anywhere in the U.S., with preference for those near Chicago, IL for periodic in-person collaboration. The Sales Enablement & Training Manager will own the design, delivery, and ongoing optimization of all sales training programs across VelocityEHS. This includes new hire onboarding, ongoing skills development, certification programs, channel partner programs and enablement aligned to product launches and GTM priorities. This individual will be hands-on and highly skilled in live and virtual training, deeply experienced in B2B SaaS sales motions, and comfortable engaging with senior leadership, product marketing, and RevOps.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years in Sales Enablement, Sales Training, or Field Readiness in a SaaS company.
  • Proven record designing and delivering engaging, high-impact training sessions.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS sales processes (MEDDIC, Challenger, SPIN, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience building certification programs and measuring enablement ROI.
  • Familiarity with enablement tools (ChatGPT, Outreach, 6Sense, Everstage, etc.) and CRM (Salesforce).

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in sales methodologies (Challenger, Force Management, Sandler, etc.).
  • Experience working with enterprise and mid-market SaaS teams and channel partner teams.
  • Background in coaching or adult learning theory.
  • Experience tying enablement to RevOps metrics (conversion, quota attainment, time-to-first-deal, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver, and continuously improve sales onboarding programs.
  • Facilitate live virtual and in-person training sessions that drive adoption and engagement.
  • Develop skills-based coaching modules (discovery, negotiation, storytelling, closing, renewal conversations).
  • Assess and coach individual reps and managers based on observed performance and feedback data.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive sales enablement curriculum and resource library.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to translate features and positioning into sales messaging.
  • Partner with RevOps to ensure CRM and workflows reinforce enablement objectives.
  • Create role-based training paths for BDRs, AEs, Solutions Consultants, and Renewal Managers.
  • Lead sales readiness for new GTM initiatives.
  • Collaborate with GTM Program Managers to ensure timely delivery of training content.
  • Own measurement of enablement effectiveness (adoption rates, win rates, conversion rates).
  • Drive continuous improvement loops with Sales Leadership and RevOps.
  • Partner closely with Sales Leadership, Product Marketing, GTM PMs, and RevOps.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CRO and frontline leaders on sales excellence initiatives.
