About The Position

Admiral Beverage is seeking a Driver Trainee to complete all required tasks in the CDL training program to become a local delivery driver. The trainee will provide excellent customer service to store owners and customers, effectively resolve complaints or discrepancies, and demonstrate a high level of accuracy and ability to work without direct supervision. This role involves driving a truck to deliver beverage products in various conditions while complying with regulations, operating a computerized inventory and invoicing system, and performing truck maintenance. The work environment can be loud, expose the employee to outside weather conditions, and airborne particles and fumes. Admiral Beverage is a large, family-owned business that operates with a small-town, friendly, family-driven mindset, investing in its people, business partners, and communities.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Meet company driver qualifications.
  • Demonstrate a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all required tasks in the CDL training program to become a local delivery driver.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both store owners and customers.
  • Effectively resolve any complaints or discrepancies.
  • Drive truck to deliver beverage product to customer's place of business in highway, rural and city street conditions in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Work without direct supervision.
  • Record sales or deliver information on daily sales or delivery record.
  • Operate computerized inventory and invoicing system.
  • Operate hand trucks.
  • Collect or pick up empty containers.
  • Perform truck loading and unloading and secure loads.
  • Issue or obtain customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
  • Clean inside of truck.
  • Perform daily inspection and routine fluid, air and oil maintenance on truck.
  • Wear Company provided uniform and present a professional image to customers and the work place.
  • Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.
