About The Position

Delaware Valley Paving is seeking an experienced and driven Sales Director to lead business development and sales efforts throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market. As Delaware Valley Paving continues to establish and expand its presence in DFW, the Sales Director will play a key role in developing the market, generating new business, building long-term customer relationships, and creating a strong pipeline of opportunities. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can both develop sales strategy and actively execute it in the field. The ideal candidate has a strong background in construction sales, business development, or account management, preferably within paving, concrete, sitework, or a related commercial construction industry. This individual should bring an established understanding of the DFW construction market and be comfortable developing relationships with property managers, general contractors, developers, facility managers, municipalities, and other key decision-makers.

Requirements

Proven experience in sales, business development, account management, or sales leadership within the construction industry.
Experience in asphalt paving, concrete, sitework, civil construction, commercial property services, or a closely related industry strongly preferred.
Knowledge of the Dallas-Fort Worth construction and commercial property market strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to develop new business and build a sales pipeline from the ground up.
Strong relationship-building, networking, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, estimators, project managers, field operations, and executive leadership.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and opportunities simultaneously.
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of market development.
Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate sales and pipeline information.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market and to customer locations, jobsites, trade shows, and industry events as needed.

Responsibilities

Lead sales and business development efforts for Delaware Valley Paving throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market.
Develop and execute a sales strategy focused on establishing and growing the company's presence in the region.
Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities across commercial, industrial, multifamily, retail, municipal, and other target markets.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities to support short- and long-term revenue goals.
Prospect for new customers through networking, cold outreach, referrals, industry events, jobsite relationships, and market research.
Develop relationships with property managers, general contractors, developers, facility managers, municipalities, and other key decision-makers.
Conduct customer meetings, site visits, presentations, and relationship-building activities throughout the market.
Identify opportunities to expand services and revenue within existing customer accounts.
Maintain consistent follow-up throughout the sales process from initial contact through proposal, award, and project completion.
Help establish the sales structure, processes, and strategy for the growing DFW operation.
Develop territory and account plans based on market opportunities and company growth objectives.
Establish sales goals, activity expectations, pipeline targets, and performance metrics.
Track sales activity, opportunities, proposals, awarded work, and customer relationships through the company's CRM and reporting systems.
Provide leadership with regular updates on pipeline activity, market conditions, customer feedback, and revenue opportunities.
Analyze sales performance and adjust strategies as necessary to support continued growth.
Assist with the development and future growth of the Delaware Valley Paving sales team as the market expands.
Provide coaching, direction, and accountability to sales and business development personnel as additional team members are added.
Work closely with estimating, operations, project management, and executive leadership to ensure opportunities align with company capabilities and objectives.
Coordinate with estimating to ensure customer needs, project scope, deadlines, and expectations are clearly communicated.
Participate in bid reviews and proposal strategy for key opportunities.
Maintain communication with operations following project award to help ensure a smooth transition from sales to project execution.
Stay engaged with customers throughout project delivery and assist in addressing concerns or identifying additional opportunities.
Develop a strong understanding of Delaware Valley Paving's services, capabilities, pricing considerations, and operational capacity.
Serve as a visible representative of Delaware Valley Paving throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth construction and property management communities.
Build relationships with industry organizations, associations, vendors, partners, and other market contacts.
Attend trade shows, networking events, conferences, customer meetings, and industry functions as needed.
Monitor competitors, market conditions, upcoming developments, and construction activity throughout the region.
Identify strategic accounts and market segments that present opportunities for long-term growth.
Develop relationships that generate repeat business, referrals, and long-term partnerships.
