About The Position

In this role, you will lead an industrial account sales team responsible for achieving order targets, volume growth, margin performance, cost management, and customer satisfaction outcomes. You will guide the development and execution of sales strategies across market verticals and key accounts, aligning offerings with customer expectations and industry direction. The work includes forecasting bookings, managing pipelines, supporting account planning, and coordinating with business units to shape value propositions and pursuit strategies. You will address challenges related to shifting market demands, customer buying criteria, and competitive positioning while ensuring alignment with broader growth priorities. By strengthening account management practices and fostering effective customer relationships, you will contribute to reliable delivery of solutions that support the performance and evolution of energy systems.

Requirements

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience leading sales pursuits
  • Experience managing direct reports and guiding account management teams
  • Experience selling within U.S. industrial market verticals
  • Skills in communication, collaboration, and assessing sales and technical competencies

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of account managers to deliver sales targets, growth, and margin outcomes
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and methodologies for market verticals and key customers
  • Forecast bookings, manage pipelines, and oversee sales planning aligned with growth priorities
  • Support account planning and reviews to enhance opportunity development and execution
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to meet expectations and contractual obligations
  • Collaborate with business units to align offerings with customer needs and market direction
  • Lead market evaluation activities to identify product requirements, risks, and commercial viability
  • Oversee team development activities including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
