Guidebook is seeking a self-starting Sales Development Representative to create new sales opportunities for its event software platform, which helps colleges and universities build connections throughout the student journey. This remote role is for someone based in the Eastern or Central time zones of the United States and works closely with a global sales team and a manager based in London. The role manages the beginning of the sales process, using strategic and creative outreach to identify prospects, uncover their challenges, and generate qualified opportunities. Compensation includes quarterly incentives based on the number and value of qualified opportunities generated and revenue from opportunities created. In the first three months, the representative will learn Guidebook’s ideal client profiles, find qualified targets, develop outbound strategies, and use outreach to identify customer needs and secure meetings. The role includes managing outbound sequence tasks and follow-ups, calling cold and warm leads, and communicating how Guidebook can help prospects. Within six months, the representative is expected to hit goals consistently, use social selling, share prospect insights and best practices with sales and marketing, manage outbound campaigns, and adapt campaigns to market trends. The role may include attending trade shows and Guidebook events to meet prospects and qualify opportunities. Within twelve months, the representative will help improve processes, work on projects with the manager and team, and contribute to the success of colleagues and the business. Guidebook typically attends 8 to 15 trade shows each year, with travel divided among the team based on availability.
