About The Position

This position is only considering candidates local to our San Antonio, TX offices as it will be on a hybrid on-site schedule. Makes outbound sales contact (including cold calling) and pursues sales leads to develop a portfolio of buying customers. Accepts orders, closes sales, maintains customer records and completes required documentation. Identifies and qualifies prospective customers and records sales prospecting activity in computer-based tracking systems. May have an assigned product line that may overlap other sales teams' territories. Responsible for adhering to company security policies and procedures and any other relevant policies and standards as directed. Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within a job discipline. Performs routine assignments using existing procedures. Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles. Entry level to a professional career progression.

Responsibilities

  • Other Incidental tasks related to the job, as necessary.
  • Utilizes provided information to contact potential customers regarding Rackspace products.
  • Conduct needs analysis and determine prospects pain points to determine how the Rackspace solution will speak to those needs. Researches market segments to identify potential customers and makes first contact.
  • Develop new business via telephone and mass communication such as email and social media to introduce the Rackspace solutions and identify appropriate buyers within the target market.
  • Prepare and analyze leads pipeline reports and dashboards.
