About The Position

Gerhard’s Kitchen, Bath & Lighting Store is seeking a creative, energetic, and ambitious sales and design professional to build relationships with new and existing customers and provide a high-quality design experience. The role supports contractor and retail showroom sales and helps customers plan kitchen and bath projects. Pay includes hourly base pay plus monthly commission, with starting base pay of $20.00–$25.00 per hour depending on experience.

Requirements

Sales or service experience is preferred.
Undergraduate, trade school, or design education is preferred or in progress, or the ability to demonstrate hands-on learning through experience.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes retail hours and occasional evening hours for events.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with clients and prospects with varying levels of knowledge and comfort.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Computer knowledge and the ability to learn First Supply LLC’s business system.
Effective communication skills.
Satisfactory score on the Wonderlic Personnel Test and/or Caliper Assessment.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in 20-20, Pro Kitchen, or Chief Architect.

Responsibilities

Drive sales to meet and exceed targets set by the Store Manager.
Follow up daily on outstanding quotes.
Develop repeat sales, new relationships, and future business.
Provide an outstanding customer experience by greeting and acknowledging customers and maintaining a friendly, professional environment.
Follow up on sales to ensure customer satisfaction and service.
Help maintain a well-organized and aesthetically pleasing store environment.
Process quotes and sales paperwork accurately and on time.
Contact vendors and shippers to track customer orders and support quality service.
Develop sales skills and product knowledge through internal resources and vendor programs, in person or online.
Assist with store maintenance, including inventory, display maintenance, and the literature library.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
