About The Position

This position involves selling pre-need and at-need funeral services and inventory, as well as cemetery services, property, and merchandise. The Sales Counselor is responsible for assisting families with funeral selections and attending services. Lead generation for this role occurs through a combination of walk-ins, inbound calls, and proactive lead generation and prospecting. The estimated first-year earnings range from $45,000 to $55,000, with uncapped commission potential. Training pay of $18.00 per hour is provided for the first 6 weeks.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Access to a personal vehicle
Proficiency in MS Office (Microsoft Excel and Outlook) required
Strong attention to detail with problem solving skills
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
Availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed

Nice To Haves

Some additional education preferred in a related area such as Business, Marketing, and/or Sales
1 year of sales experience preferred
Experience working in a CRM (lead management system preferred)
