About The Position

The Sales Support Specialist will assist the Sales Team by creating reports and presentations, analyzing data, and maintaining the distributor database. Supporting the sales team with additional administrative support functions to allow the sales team to pursue sales targets and metrics for the organization. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of Cambro’s distribution and end-user sales model to provide autonomous support for sales managers, representatives, and customers. Responsibilities include order processing/entry, price quotations, information input and management, RFP response, product training, and other related tasks. Maintaining a working knowledge of all Cambro products, including proper usage and application, and comprehensive management of SalesForces.com are also key aspects of this role. The position involves creating and updating documentation using Camshelving Design software and Auto Quotes, and utilizing the AS-400 system for data management. Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as needed are essential to meet business demands.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a sales administrative support role or in a related area.
  • Experience and knowledge of working in the commercial Foodservice industry.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to create routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to present and communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Computer skills/proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to effectively interact with members of all cross-functional departments with the utmost professionalism.
  • Ability to handle heavy workload and changing priorities.
  • Demonstrates a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers and serve as a contact for customers, addressing inquiries, providing information about products and services, and resolving issues.
  • Maintain and update sales records, client information, and contracts to ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Enter data and update information in Salesforce.com on Accounts, Contacts, and Opportunities for Sales Managers.
  • Prepare and present sales reports for the sales team, management, tracking performance metrics, and sales targets.
  • Conduct research to identify potential sales leads and assist in developing sales strategies.
  • Manage and maintain lead generation data, including updating Sales CRM and distribution of Sales leads.
  • Gather and enter data into the weekly EOS Sales scorecard.
  • Analyze data of Cambro products vs. competitive products for bids and RFPs using Excel and PowerBI.
  • Extract account product-specific data from accounting spreadsheets to provide detailed sales reporting by SKU for each segment tracked.
  • Export information from AS400 and PowerBI into Excel to perform detailed sales analysis, including creating pivot tables, charts, and graphs.
  • Provide data management, portal support, and marketing support for traditional distributors and national accounts.
  • Set up new product information, including vendor-specific product codes for key distributors.
  • Provide images and web copies for distributor websites.
  • Incorporate detailed Power BI and AS400 data and convert into PowerPoint presentations.
  • Create reporting and PowerPoints for sales managers to support customer presentations, training courses, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Assist the sales team in routine administrative tasks as needed.
  • Provide support to the sales management team on special projects.
  • Work proactively and collaboratively with members of other departments and in cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual and dependable.
  • Execute each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Follow all safety procedures required in work area, wear PPE as needed, attend all safety meetings, and report safety issues.
