About The Position

Mazda of Elk Grove is hiring an experienced Sales Consultant to provide exceptional customer service and help create a positive, team-oriented dealership culture. The role guides customers through the vehicle purchase process with a professional, informative, and customer-focused approach. Compensation includes a $3,700 monthly guaranteed base salary plus performance-based commissions under the current compensation plan. Estimated total annual earnings are $55,000–$120,000; actual earnings vary and are not guaranteed. The dealership describes opportunities for career advancement into Senior Sales, Finance, or Management based on performance, achievement of goals, and commitment to customers and the team.

Requirements

Experienced sales professional committed to providing excellent customer experiences.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to identify customer needs and clearly present vehicle features, options, and purchasing information.
Comfort learning and using digital tools, including customer relationship management systems (CRM) and other dealership technology.
Ability to learn product information, sales processes, and applicable dealership policies.
Motivation to achieve sales and customer service goals in a competitive, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers professionally.
Ask questions to understand customer preferences, needs, and vehicle requirements.
Present and demonstrate Mazda vehicles, explaining relevant features, options, technology, and benefits.
Accompany customers on vehicle demonstrations and test drives in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
Schedule and confirm customer appointments and follow-up activities.
Follow up consistently with customers and manage sales opportunities through the applicable processes.
Work toward individual and team sales goals.
