About The Position

Talon Recruiting has partnered with a leading 3PL provider in search of Sales Consultants to join their team in Irving, TX. A successful Sales Consultant designs effective, partner-specific logistics solutions to drive new business, maintain a portfolio of customers and scale existing accounts. From Prospecting new partners to closing the deal, this consultative role will leverage the Company’s network, technology, processes and in-house industry experts to optimize customer supply chains.

Requirements

Consultative sales experience.
A bachelor’s degree or industry experience.
Excitement and enthusiasm for building relationships.
Negotiation skills and the ability to use market data to educate customers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A valid driver’s license and ability to travel if necessary.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Seek out and contact prospective clients, update account notes, plan and execute meeting agendas and develop CRM deals.
Track and update pipeline opportunities through CRM.
Close sales and achieve monthly performance goals.
Act as primary customer contact, ensuring SOPs are created and executed by the customer support team.
Source new sales opportunities by meeting outbound call metrics and lead generation.
Identify key decision makers and arrange monthly face-to-face meetings where applicable.
Earn 3-4 referrals from each customer in your portfolio.
As the customer’s source of industry knowledge, the ability to interpret data, speak to customer needs, and communicate business insights is required.
