The Sales Consultant will be responsible for attending initial and ongoing training on company products, business practices, and effective sales techniques, and then applying this knowledge. Key responsibilities include compiling lists of prospective customers, proactively developing new customer relationships through various methods such as cold calling, telemarketing, networking, and referrals, and traveling within an assigned territory to engage with existing and potential clients. The role involves managing current customer accounts by providing monthly/quarterly reviews, best practice recommendations, and various reports, as well as evaluating customer business scenarios to develop solutions utilizing the company's hardware, software, and services. The consultant will work closely with clients throughout the sales cycle, deliver exceptional customer service, and maintain relationships within client organizations. Meeting sales goals, maintaining CRM data, developing strategic sales plans, quoting prices, preparing sales contracts, estimating delivery dates, and managing expense accounts are also essential. The position requires regular physical attendance and may involve other duties assigned by management. It is a full-time role with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but may include pressure from deadlines, peak workloads, frequent interruptions, occasional overnight travel, and infrequent outdoor exposure.
