About The Position

Work directly with homeowners in both showroom and in-home settings, managing the sales process from initial consultation through project completion. Generate new business through company-provided leads, referrals, showroom traffic, and self-developed opportunities. Assess customer needs, project requirements, and design preferences to recommend the best solutions. Recommend and sell window, door, and installation products that align with customer goals. Prepare accurate measurements, estimates, proposals, contracts, and other project documentation. Manage an active sales pipeline, follow up on opportunities, and achieve sales and profitability goals. Build strong customer relationships through a professional, consultative sales approach. Communicate project expectations, timelines, and next steps throughout the customer journey. Partner with Installation, Operations, and Service teams to ensure successful project execution. Maintain expertise in products, installation practices, industry trends, and competitive offerings. Deliver an exceptional customer experience from initial contact through project completion.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in windows, doors, construction, remodeling, or building materials.
  • Proven success achieving sales goals through consultative, in-home, or project-based selling.
  • Knowledge of window and door products, measuring, estimating, quoting, ordering, and installation practices.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, communication, and closing skills.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record; ability to travel locally using a personal vehicle.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Familiarity with Marvin, Milgard, Simpson, or other premium building product brands preferred.
  • Understanding of older homes, historic architecture, and traditional millwork common in the Portland market.
