About The Position

The Sales Consultant sells La-Z-Boy furniture, accessories, and services while delivering a premium customer experience and contributing to store sales goals. The role involves guiding customers through furniture and décor choices, creating design-led spaces, and building trust and loyalty with customers and team members. Sales Consultants complete sales and customer-service paperwork, maintain accurate customer records, collect deposits and fees, and research payment and delivery questions. They attend company training and store meetings and may assist with training, coaching, and developing peers. The role also requires a minimum number of house calls to customer homes and maintaining a sales average consistent with company standards. Compensation includes a $46,800 salary during a 2–6 week training period, during which the employee is not eligible for commission. After training, the stated average earning potential is $60,000–$100,000+, with uncapped monthly commission of 6%–7.5% on individual written sales, based on achievement of individual sales goals and less the monthly draw. Pay will not be below applicable state or local minimum wage requirements. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Provide professional, high-quality service to current and prospective customers and build customer trust and loyalty.
Guide customers through furniture and décor selections and help create designed spaces.
Complete sales paperwork and resolve customer service issues in a timely manner.
Attend and participate in company training and store meetings.
Assist in training, coaching, and developing peers on product knowledge and the selling process.
Accurately complete order information, collect deposits and fees, maintain orderly customer records, and research customer payments and deliveries.
Follow company procedures and policies, including those concerning harassment, attendance, sales, and customer interactions.
Perform a minimum number of house calls to customer homes.
Maintain a sales average consistent with company standards.
