About The Position

Johnson Brothers, a leading family-owned distributor of wine, spirits, and beer, is seeking a Sales Consultant in Training to support, service, and maintain accounts in the Twin Cities area. This role is designed to train new personnel who will eventually manage their own sales territory. The position involves stocking shelves, coolers, and building displays, as well as following up on deliveries and servicing accounts from storage areas. Responsibilities may also include achieving sales objectives, territory management, selling new and existing products, managing promotions, conducting in-store tastings, and servicing accounts. The trainee will initially focus on servicing the Duluth and surrounding areas.

Requirements

  • Goal and results oriented.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and prioritize work.
  • Competitive, self-motivated and customer service orientated.
  • Professional written and oral communication skills a must.
  • Have reliable transportation with valid insurance.
  • Good driving record.
  • Ability to lift to 50-pound cases, sometimes repeatedly.
  • Local candidates preferred (no relocation package)

Nice To Haves

  • Work experience in the liquor industry, such as: bartender, wait staff, liquor store experience, etc. a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Travels around assigned territory to service accounts
  • Check quantities of goods on display, cold box placements, in stock and service the accounts
  • Fills shelves from displays and back stock to ensure out of stock items are minimized.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with customers.
  • Communicates with Sales Consultants regarding changes in buyer’s preferences, out of stock inventory, oversight in shelf space and any concerns/situations encountered during business hours.
  • Build and develop trust and a strong working relationship of the retailer by upholding Johnson Brothers corporate values, have excellent customer service and a “can-do” attitude.
  • Perform other work-related tasks and special projects as assigned.
