Sales/ Commercial Landscape Maintenance
About The Position
Landscaping by J. Michael is looking for an experienced Sales/ Account Manager to join our team in our Marshfield office. The ideal candidate brings proven experience in commercial landscape maintenance estimating, strong sales and account‑management capabilities, and a demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities with both existing and prospective customers. Success in this role requires excellent cross‑functional collaboration, particularly with customer service and product development teams, to enhance the overall customer experience and support long‑term client retention.
Requirements
- 5+ years account management experience in both residential and commercial outdoor maintenance work.
- Experience in project assessment and estimates.
- Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills.
- Professional client interaction and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail and consistent client follow through.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft office and other technologies.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor degree preferred, will consider Associate degree in horticulture, marketing, or business degree field.
- MLP or MCH certification a plus
Responsibilities
- Oversee customer account management – Includes developing new business along with negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profits.
- Collaborate cross-functionally – Work closely with the team to achieve goals while keeping clients satisfied and engaged with products and services.
- Ensure delivery to customers - Facilitate the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
- Sales - Ability to upsell and seek new opportunities for business with existing and new clients.
