About The Position

The sales clerk is responsible for providing administrative support to the sales department to include answering incoming calls and providing appropriate disposition of calls. Input quotes and orders into sales systems and relay pertinent order information to customers. Work within sales department in handling purchase orders and providing service to customers. Basic date entry activities and filing as needed. Will provide other general office administrative duties.

Requirements

  • Extended periods of sitting and using office equipment and computers.
  • Carry, pull, lift, and push up to 25 pounds of dead weight.
  • Capability of lifting 10-pound objects overhead.
  • Sit, stand, kneel

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of inside sales /data entry experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty
  • Receive requests for quotation, purchase orders, change orders, adjustments and cancelation from sales team.
  • Use various sales platforms to retrieve customer’s information, stock status information, and make changes to customers purchase orders
  • Maintain filing
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively regarding company products to customers
  • Understand and demonstrate the product or service to the customer
  • Interacts with potential and existing customers through emails, telephone calls, and live website chats.
  • Complete the daily call log detailing job bids, quotes, and customer follow-ups
  • Obtain all required approvals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Complete all assigned training, including monthly health and safety sessions.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Learn and master CWI products and operational procedures
  • Respond to customer’s inquiries and quotations in a timely manner
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Business development skills and a passion for sales
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets
  • Work in various temperature environments
  • Work in a dusty environment
  • System (MRP) orientation
  • Checks Parts catalogs for proper part information and identification.
  • Contacts vendors to obtain price bids
  • Replenishes stock as needed when shipments arrive
  • Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes
  • Verifies data by comparing it to source documents
  • Updates existing data
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
  • Read SDS’s to familiarized with chemicals used
  • Follow all PPE
  • Work closely with other departments
  • Attend scheduled meetings
