About The Position

Abbott's Cancer Diagnostics Division aims to transform the detection, diagnosis, and management of cancer globally. The division focuses on patients, providers, doctors, researchers, and caregivers, collaborating with industry leaders and institutions to improve lives and change the approach to cancer care. The Sales internship program is designed to offer meaningful, hands-on professional experience to students with strong academic records and leadership potential. Interns will gain foundational skills for a career in healthcare sales, with options for tracks in commercial strategy or field-based sales. This 12-week paid internship includes mentorship, project work within the ONCO division, comprehensive sales experience, and structured training in sales, business development, and diagnostics selling. Social events are also part of the program. The Inside Sales track is located onsite in Madison, WI, while Field Sales tracks are available in Atlanta, Carolinas, Mid-Atlantic, Ohio-PA, and Detroit. Relocation to these locations may be required.

Requirements

  • Completed at least three years of college education before beginning internship.
  • Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship.
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferable in sales, finance, business or marketing.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Strong academic performance (GPA 3.0/4.0 or higher).
  • Relevant sales and leadership experience.
  • Interest in working in the healthcare or diagnostics field.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
