About The Position

Fresh Coat Painters of Muskegon is seeking a motivated, self-driven Sales & Business Development Representative to play a key role in the company's expansion. This role involves meeting with customers, preparing project proposals, generating new opportunities, building community relationships, and contributing ideas for business growth. The ideal candidate enjoys meeting people, solving problems, building relationships, and helping customers improve their homes and businesses. The position is responsible for generating revenue through customer consultations, proposal creation, opportunity follow-up, and developing new business sources. During peak season, the focus is on in-home and on-site consultations, while slower periods shift towards business development, networking, and identifying growth opportunities. The ideal candidate is independent, organized, coachable, and results-motivated.

  • Experience with painting or construction is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Meet with residential and commercial customers to understand project needs
  • Conduct on-site consultations and gather project information
  • Prepare detailed estimates and proposals
  • Present solutions and answer customer questions
  • Follow up consistently on open proposals
  • Track opportunities through the sales pipeline
  • Maintain strong close rates and sales goals
  • Coordinate with production staff to ensure smooth project handoffs
  • Build relationships with referral partners, property managers, contractors, realtors, and local businesses
  • Attend networking events, chamber functions, trade shows, and community events
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Develop creative ideas and strategies to increase sales
  • Help execute marketing and lead-generation initiatives
  • Represent Fresh Coat Painters professionally within the community
  • Deliver a professional and consultative customer experience
  • Maintain prompt communication with prospects and customers
  • Uphold Fresh Coat Painters' reputation for quality and professionalism
  • Ensure customers feel informed and confident throughout the sales process

Benefits

  • Base Pay: $600 per week
  • Monthly Commission: 4%-6% of gross sales, with commission percentage determined by the profitability of the projects sold.
