About The Position

The Sales Associate helps ensure a hospitable store experience by processing guest transactions promptly, maintaining cleanliness, and following Yesway standards. The role includes addressing customer concerns, stocking and pricing merchandise, preparing cooked foods as directed, and maintaining store shelves, counters, floors, glass, and equipment. Other duties may be assigned.

The position requires moving merchandise or equipment weighing up to 60 pounds, standing on concrete floors for a standard eight-hour shift, and receiving and stocking merchandise at different heights, which normally involves stooping, bending, and stretching. Successful completion of required certification testing is required upon employment. Employment offers may also be subject to applicable state-specific background checks and alcohol-service training or certification requirements.

Requirements

• Successfully complete required certification testing upon employment.
• Move merchandise or equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Stand on concrete floors for a standard eight-hour shift.
• Receive and stock merchandise at various heights, normally using stooping, bending, and stretching motions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely guest transactions, store cleanliness, and implementation of Yesway standards.
• Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
• Ensure merchandise is properly placed, priced, and stocked in the store.
• Process sales transactions using appropriate equipment.
• Prepare cooked foods as directed by the Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Maintain shelves, counters, floors, glass, and equipment according to the store maintenance schedule.
• Stock and block shelves, bag ice, and maintain soft drink bags-in-box.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
