About The Position

Tecovas is hiring a part-time Sales Associate to support the store leadership team and create an exceptional customer experience for first-time boot buyers and western enthusiasts. The role includes greeting and assisting customers, selling products, sharing product knowledge, handling transactions, restocking, and general shopkeeping. The associate also provides premium product services, supports shipment and inventory processes, helps maintain the stockroom and store facilities, and participates in staff education and loss prevention activities. The position requires availability for 15–20 hours per week, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed. The hourly rate is $15; actual compensation depends on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and reach overhead, bend, squat, and kneel while organizing and stocking inventory.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Must be able to reliably commute to and from the work location.
• Must be available to work 15–20 hours per week, including weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), evenings, and holidays as needed.
• Exceptional selling skills, customer service, and clientele.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Independent, proactive, results-driven work ethic.
• Demonstrated character, honesty, and transparency.

Responsibilities

• Support a sales-driven environment centered on genuine customer experience and demonstrate exceptional service standards.
• Provide product services such as branding, debossing, boot stretching, brim shaping, and boot shines with attention to detail.
• Support the store team with receiving shipments and preparing products for floor placement.
• Plan, track, and communicate in-transit shipment information to the leadership team.
• Maintain an efficient, organized stockroom that is accessible to employees.
• Assist with or lead restocking to maintain store inventory levels.
• Assist with cycle counts and transfers to demonstrate loss prevention awareness.
• Participate in ongoing staff education and share product knowledge.
• Assist with maintaining building facilities.
• Greet and assist customers, sell products, support product knowledge, handle the cash wrap, and perform general shopkeeping.
