About The Position

Come work for a new gift shop opening at SFO in Terminal 3 that partners with contemporary artists to create and sell art-inspired products while providing artists with royalty income. It emphasizes meaningful, locally produced goods and long-term collaborations with regional manufacturers. Fun, lively retail environment focused on art and design. Multiple shifts are available for late September; some shifts are available now.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Must be able to pass a background check to obtain an SFO Badge.
• Ability to perform computer work, heavy lifting (up to 40 lbs.), long periods of standing, climbing, and bending.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and assigned shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service, assisting travelers with product information and purchases.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor and display areas.
• Operate the point-of-sale system, handle transactions accurately, and follow all cash-handling procedures.
• Restock merchandise, monitor inventory levels, and assist with receiving and organizing shipments.
• Support store opening, mid-day, and closing procedures as assigned.
• Help educate customers about artist-designed products and the mission behind the store’s offerings.
• Follow airport retail guidelines, safety protocols, and badge-access requirements.
• Perform physical tasks as needed, including lifting merchandise, standing for extended periods, and maintaining stock areas.

Benefits

• Salary rate: $23.00 per hour, with room for growth based on demonstrated proficiency and punctuality.
