About The Position
Ace Retail Group (ARG), a division of Ace Hardware Corporation, operates over 250 neighborhood hardware stores across the United States under various Ace brands. The Sales Associate plays a key role in maintaining store operations and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Requirements
- High School or GED equivalent.
- Formal retail experience preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 25lbs), and climb.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the receiving, stocking, and pricing of merchandise.
- Maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness.
- Provide a positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware and proactively assist customers.
- Greet customers entering and throughout the store, and thank them upon departure.
- Answer all pages and calls promptly, courteously, and effectively.
- Handle customer complaints or forward them to management.
- Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and product locations.
- Assist customers with personalized service to ensure amazing customer experiences.
- Assist in creating a positive, professional, and safe work environment.
- Assist with receiving, checking in, and stocking merchandise.
- Assist with maintaining back stock levels.
- Maintain the daily maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room, and outdoor merchandise area.
- Ensure a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and ad merchandise.
- Provide assistance with merchandise resets throughout the store.
- Support Department Specialists with tasks like price changes and special orders.
- Ensure signage is current throughout the store.
- Operate a forklift with proper training.
- Communicate any Store Support Center issues to the General Manager.
- Communicate merchandising, cost control, or sales ideas to the General Manager.
- Participate in store meetings.
- Maintain professional appearance and actions.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
