About The Position

Scheels is seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate for their Golf and Camping department. This role focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience, driving personal sales, and contributing to a positive store environment. As an employee-owner, you will be expected to embody Scheels' values of customer focus, teamwork, adaptability, ownership, and integrity. The position involves direct customer interaction, product knowledge, salesmanship, visual merchandising, and inventory support.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1-3 months of sales experience.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Ability to navigate a personal computer and a handheld inventory computer/scanner.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Email / Docs, and AS400.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers on the sales floor with genuine courtesy and a smile.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, determining their needs, recommending products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card.
• Grow personal sales by consistently hitting set goals and following professional salesmanship standards.
• Create a positive end-user experience based on product purchases.
• Maintain a high standard of visual merchandising.
• Support the team with freight processing and inventory restocking.
• Demonstrate product usage and retrieve product from heights of greater than 6 ft.
• Attend all required Scheels product training and store meetings.
• Assist in the training of new associates.
• Navigate a personal computer and a handheld inventory computer/scanner, using programs like Microsoft Office, Google Email/Docs, and AS400.
• Assist in other assigned duties by the leadership team.
