About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s services. The role involves providing compassionate customer service, operating the checkout, maintaining store merchandise and inventory, supporting store operations, and assisting other departments, including the pharmacy when needed. Associates are expected to promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health needs.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Occasionally lift and exert up to 35 pounds of force, frequently up to 10 pounds, and regularly a negligible amount, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and differentiated service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by keeping them stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
