About The Position
As a Shoe Sales Associate at Von Maur, you represent the company and contribute to its reputation for customer service. In the shoe department, you build relationships, develop brand and product knowledge, and help customers have a positive shopping experience. The role includes sales goals, customer assistance, point-of-sale transactions, and maintaining the department and shoe stock room. The expected base wage is $15.00–$17.00 per hour, with commission and overtime eligibility; pay is determined based on individual qualifications, and commission may vary by department.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers sincerely, be friendly, and thank every customer.
- Develop customer relationships to grow the business.
- Achieve individual sales and account goals.
- Highlight product knowledge and store services to improve the customer experience.
- Process point-of-sale transactions and enter account information.
- Assist customers with shoe sizing, fitting, and trying on shoes.
- Maintain a visually appealing and clean department and shoe stock room.
- Be available to work day, evening, and weekend shifts.
