About The Position

University Book Store is looking for fun, upbeat people to work in our Student Store & Husky Shop at our flagship store on the Ave! These are seasonal, hourly, part-time positions that will begin early/mid-August and are expected to last through early January (including winter break). UW students, please note that we are not an on-campus or work study employer.

Requirements

• Enthusiastic about the Huskies and the UW community
• Provide friendly, high-quality customer service
• Can pick up new processes and procedures in a timely manner
• Excellent communicator
• Organized and able to work quickly and accurately
• Dependable and committed to following through on responsibilities
• At least 18 years old

Nice To Haves

• Weekend availability (especially Husky football game days) will be given first preference.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers
• Process sales and return transactions
• Assist customers in finding the merchandise they need
• Set up, maintain, restock and adjust sales floor inventory
• Pull merchandise for e-commerce orders
• Keep the sales floor clean and tidy
• Perform other duties as needed throughout the store
