About The Position

J.Jill is seeking a passionate, customer-focused, results-driven Part-Time Sales Associate to build customer relationships and provide a welcoming, positive shopping experience. The associate helps customers find products, offers styling advice, supports sales goals, and contributes to store operations and a positive team environment. The role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, and involves physical store work such as standing, walking, reaching, lifting, and handling merchandise. The listed minimum hourly wage is $17.00.

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic team player with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to perform extensive standing, walking, reaching, bending, pushing and pulling, and maneuvering around the store; hang and fold merchandise; climb ladders; operate POS registers and company mobile devices; and lift and carry up to 30 pounds, with team lifting when needed.
• Ability to occasionally operate a trash compactor where applicable and use a hand truck.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful customer connections through personalized service and styling advice.
• Help customers find products and provide a seamless, enjoyable shopping experience while contributing to sales goals.
• Develop knowledge of J.Jill merchandise to provide guidance and recommendations.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and execute floor sets.
• Participate in store operations, including marketing, product processing and replenishment, markdowns and promotions, store cleanliness, and backroom organization.
• Work with team members to create a positive and supportive work environment.
• Address customer needs and concerns with a friendly, solution-oriented approach.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to help the store succeed.
