Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences
  • 1-1.5 years of relevant Genomics or Synthetic Biology experience in a commercial role with a proven track record of success in account management, exceeding targets and driving revenue growth required.
  • Background in Molecular Biology
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills, both written and verbal are essential
  • Ability to speak in public and interact with customers with confidence and ease

Nice To Haves

  • Previous sales experience preferred
  • CRM experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the designated Sales Executives/Representatives/Managers in their efforts to grow the business.
  • Create sales strategy with the support of manager for territory
  • Conduct marketing and sales independently in academic and small biotech accounts
  • Conduct vendor shows, lunch and learns in academic and small biotech accounts upon request
  • Generate qualified leads through proactive outbound prospecting
  • Follow up with new customers and reply to basic incoming price inquiries
  • Support field reps from the office including; retrieving data from internal systems such as customer relationship management system (CRM/Salesforce) and project data bases (CLIMS)
  • Prepare reports as needed for territory and account management
  • Lead generation and data entry into CRM
  • Work on a career track to become a sales or marketing professional
  • Qualify marketing leads from trade shows, events and campaigns
