About The Position

Sales Associates deliver world-class customer service, achieve sales goals, and maintain merchandising standards in a fun, fast-paced retail environment. They report directly to the Store Team Leader and other members of management. Associates provide customers with a unique shopping experience using the G.U.E.S.T. service approach. The role also involves following company guidelines at the point of sale, processing new products, stocking shelves, recovering the sales floor, and cleaning throughout the store.

Requirements

Previous specialty retail experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to multitask while attending to customers and remaining flexible to business needs.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Professional conduct, demeanor, and attire in compliance with the company dress code.
Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items up to 50 lbs. using appropriate safety techniques.

Responsibilities

Model the G.U.E.S.T. service approach and consistently deliver world-class service.
Greet customers warmly and enthusiastically; identify their needs with open-ended questions and explain relevant product features and benefits.
Suggest additional items using effective selling techniques, thank customers, and invite them to return.
Represent the TPS brand and build customer loyalty through friendly, attentive, and respectful service.
Contribute to a positive work environment through respectful and ethical behavior, honest communication, and professionalism.
Maintain a professional presentation and comply with the company dress code.
Support sales efforts and initiatives across all business channels to maximize company sales.
Capture accurate and valid customer information at the point of sale; stay informed about promotions and process them correctly.
Participate in required training and development using available training resources.
Prepare incoming products for the sales floor according to supervisors’ instructions and guidance.
Merchandise products in accordance with company visual guidelines and standards.
At select locations, perform ear piercings after comprehensive training and provide a safe, sanitary experience in accordance with state, federal, and CDC guidelines.
Maintain a fundamental knowledge of computers, systems, and programs relevant to the role.
Maintain store cleanliness and maintenance standards.
Complete other tasks as directed by store management within the assigned time frame.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
