About The Position

The Sales Associate provides quality customer service and drives product sales. This role requires knowledge of the store’s product areas and departments, adherence to the visual manual and other company policies, and promotion of sales and special offers. As an ambassador for Hibbett and its brand, the Sales Associate creates a distinctive customer experience to acquire and retain customers. The position also supports daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup, weekly shipments, and store maintenance. The Sales Associate helps protect company assets and financial information by following internal control procedures and reporting potential fraud risks. This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks accurately.
Team player passionate about customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service, including welcoming customers and assisting multiple customers during peak periods.
Promote and sell the organization’s services and merchandise.
Set goals to improve selling skills and track sales performance.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards in the operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals, as well as company memos.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Present merchandise and use product knowledge to promote and sell goods.
Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and goals.
Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend store staff meetings and tech clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by following internal control procedures and reporting potential fraud risks to management or appropriate officials.
