Full-Time Retail Firearm Sales Associate
About The Position
This position is primarily responsible for assisting customers in their purchase of company products and services. The role involves handling all aspects of customer service, including addressing customer and employee issues and communicating them to management. The Sales Associate will assist with inventory movement between the warehouse and sales floor, promote a positive culture, and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers. Responsibilities include handling inbound calls, processing required paperwork accurately according to ATF guidelines, quoting prices, describing product features, preparing sales orders, stocking products, cleaning work areas, and enforcing safety, health, and security rules. The Sales Associate is accountable for sales and quality control and must adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Knowledge of Inventory Software; and Order Processing Systems.
