About The Position
NORMAN’S, an employee-owned Hallmark Gold Crown retailer, is hiring a part-time Sales Associate for its FSK Mall location in Frederick, Maryland. Sales Associates contribute to a caring team atmosphere and provide customers with a genuine, memorable experience. They are a primary source of knowledge on the sales floor and help the store meet its goals through customer service and retail sales.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets business needs, including events, holidays, evenings, and weekends.
- Strong aptitude for basic math, including percentages and general arithmetic.
- Ability to continuously stand and walk; frequently push and pull; occasionally bend, stoop, crawl, reach above the shoulders, and kneel; climb a ladder; and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Initiative, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence in customer experience are expected.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the Customer CARE program by connecting genuinely with customers, building relationships, and earning their business.
- Prioritize the customer in all business interactions.
- Consistently meet store-specific Crown Rewards enrollment goals.
- Learn and efficiently use the register system, maintaining cash-register accuracy and providing a pleasant checkout experience.
- Use effective selling skills in customer interactions to build sales and customer satisfaction.
- Learn product knowledge for all merchandise and apply it when assisting customers.
- Maintain and restock displays as directed by store management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
