The Sales Associate's primary function is to assist patients of Optical Outlets and support the Doctor and Office Manager. This role involves attracting and retaining customers by providing excellent service, greeting customers, explaining processes, assisting with merchandise selection, fitting frames, and dispensing eyewear. The associate will also solve visual problems, manage customer transactions, and serve as a center of excellence for patient satisfaction. Key duties include helping customers select frames and lenses based on their vision, lifestyle, and budget, suggesting improvements, recommending solutions, and assisting other retail associates with complex customer needs and prescriptions. The role also requires handling tasks such as taking and recording measurements, adjusting or fitting eyewear accurately, and informing the Office Manager of any office problems noted by staff, doctors, or patients, as well as performing all assigned tasks.
