About The Position
The Sales Associate maintains helpful customer service, processes sales quickly, accurately, and efficiently, and performs cash register operations. The role supports store operations and provides customer service by engaging customers and determining their needs and project requirements. The Sales Associate performs a range of store tasks, including cashiering, product placement, receiving merchandise, processing shipments, stocking, maintaining store cleanliness, sales, and operating equipment. The position also supports sales and productivity goals, store displays, equipment upkeep, and store traffic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Combine customer service with strong sales skills.
- Perform store tasks including cashiering, product placement, receiving merchandise, processing shipments, stocking, maintaining store cleanliness, sales, and operating equipment.
- Work with the management team to achieve established sales and productivity goals.
- Assist in maintaining store equipment in good working condition.
- Work with management to develop and execute ideas and activities to increase store traffic.
- Ensure end-caps, dump bins, and feature displays are properly merchandised and maintained.
- Provide service that follows Helpful Customer Service behaviors and mystery shop standards.
- Greet customers as they enter the store.
- Answer phone calls.
- Maintain awareness of promotions and advertisements.
- Ring sales accurately and efficiently and maintain cash at registers.
- Keep the register area orderly and supplies stocked.
- Solicit customers to open an Ace Rewards card.
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
- Attend mandatory monthly store meetings.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by store management.
