Part-Time Sales Associate - Famous Footwear
About The Position
As a Famous Footwear Sales Associate, you create a welcoming store environment and provide engaging customer experiences that build customer loyalty to the store, its brands, and the company. You stay informed about trends, share product knowledge, and help customers find shoes that suit their needs and fit well. You support daily retail operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, while maintaining a clean, organized, shoppable store. You help uphold the Famous culture through attentive customer service, teamwork, inclusive behavior, and a positive attitude. You take accountability for your contribution to store performance, review store results, and work to achieve sales goals. You follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and assist with teammate training and development when needed. Other responsibilities may be performed as needed to meet business needs. Overtime may be required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
- Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
- Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
- Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
- Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily store tasks, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop according to company standards.
- Engage customers and provide attentive service and positive shopping experiences.
- Stay informed about trends and recommend styles and brands that meet customers’ needs.
- Review store performance and work toward sales goals.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to teammates.
- Follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and pursue skill development.
- Promote an inclusive and respectful work environment and support teammates.
- Assist with training and development when needed.
- Work overtime as required to meet business needs.
